Annie,
Your posts are very well done for the most part. In general they offer a quote, and your own interpretation of the quote. You do a good job drawing from other sources when blogging. You also do a good job defining some of the terms from the reading. This is good because readers, (other classmates) sometimes don’t understand what certain words mean, and instead of having to look it up themselves, they can just look at our blog and see a classmate’s definition. One suggestion I have for your future posts is to put more of yourself in the blog. Your blog’s would be more interesting to read if you put some personal experience or knowledge and apply it to what the authors are trying to say in the reading. Doing this may also make the blogs easier to write, and make you have a better understanding of the reading. This may also help lengthen your blogs and make you not feel like you are rephrasing yourself over and over. One of your blogs that I enjoyed reading was your post class blog from March 5th when Dr. Casey came to class. This post is a good example of you telling us about what you learned, but not repeating yourself to meet the word requirements. The opening of that blog post made me more interested in what you were going to say. This post does a good job going in depth, but at the same time gives a good summary of what Dr. Casey spoke about in class. You do a good job talking about an outside perception of America, and how we as a country are commercialized. You do a good job keeping up with your blogs, and the overall length of your blogs seems to be good.
