Architecture is definitely dependent on the geographical location but I have found one town with an exception. Driving around Winter Park is very interesting because each house has it’s own style of architecture and no house is anything like the other. Driving around the other day I saw modern homes amongst colonials and Tuscan themed houses amongst chateaus. I was thinking about why there were so many different styles of houses in this town and I came to the conclusion that its because Winter Park is such an old town and people slowly started to move in at different architectural eras.
While Winter Park doesn’t have many industrial buildings that stand out from the rest architecturally but the homes certainly represent the many different periods of architecture and it’s really interesting to drive around and see all the different style homes. I feel that it’s important to bring back the different styles of architecture so that we can appreciate the art behind it all. Winter Park is not the typical cookie cutter community when it comes to the houses and that’s what I love so much about it. Every home is different in it’s own way and it really allows for me to see the age of the town and how it developed.
